...the women's ministry group of Christ's Church at Liberty All women 18 and over who attend Christ's Church at Liberty are members of this group. We hope each of you will find a ministry area in which to serve that will fit with your time, interests and gifts.
Meeting September 30th - September's selection - "Kite Runner" By Khaled Hosseini Meeting October 27th - October'selection - "The Last Lecture" By Randy Paush with Jeffrey Zaslow November's selection - "?" By ? Meeting December 30th for movie night - "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" By Barbara Robinson Contact Cassi Bauman for more info. Bread Ministry: Each first-time visitor to Christ's Church at Liberty receives a loaf of banana bread as a welcome. It is delivered within the week. If you're willing to bake bread or help deliver it, this is the spot for you! Angel Tree: Helping other families at Christmas time is the goal of this program. Church families will be able to "adopt" a child or even a family from the Angel Tree and provide some badly needed items such as clothing and shoes. The team coordinating this program will find suitable recipients for the program and organize its presentation to the church membership. Collection and delivery of the gifts will also be a part of this ministry. If this is a ministry that touches your heart, be sure to sign up! Casserole Patrol: Sometimes circumstances arise when members of our church family need to have meals brought in. This group would also offer to coordinate food for a funeral, if needed. If you are wiling to help provide meals on a rotating basis, please add your name to the Casserole Patrol list! Barnabas Ministry: The Barnabas Ministry follows the precept of Romans 15:5: "May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other - each with the attitude of Christ Jesus toward the other." Barnabas was the "Son of encouragement" and this ministry seeks to let church members know that others are thinking of them in times of need by sending a card on behalf of the church. If you enjoy writing short notes and are good at getting things mailed, you'll want to be part of this program. Flowers: It's so beautiful to see Easter lilies or Christmas poinsettias decorate our worship service for these holidays! We're looking for a team who will organize this for special events and holidays. This team would also be responsible for setting up and taking down the front "altar" table each Sunday. |
